Our Company was initially incorporated as a private limited company by Mr. Mukesh Khemuka under the name and style ‘Uma Exports Private Limited’ under the Companies Act, 1956 vide Certificate of Incorporation dated March 9, 1988 issued by the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal. Our Company was initially engaged in the business of export of building materials i.e. marble, granite, marble chips, etc to the neighbouring country, Bangladesh. Keeping in view the demand in Bangladesh market our Company diversified from export of building materials to export of agricultural produce and commodities in the year 1997.Since then, our Company has been engaged in exporting agricultural produce and commodities including rice, wheat, sugar and spices. We have explored the business opportunities in Malaysia and Sri Lanka in addition to Bangladesh during these years.
Our Company is engaged into trading and marketing of agricultural produce and commodities such as sugar, spices like dry red chillies, turmeric, coriander, cumin seeds, food grains like rice, wheat, corn, sorghum and tea, pulses and agricultural feed like soyabean meal and rice bran de-oiled cake. We import lentils, faba beans, black Matpe, and toor (Pigean Peas) in India in bulk quantities. Our major imports are from Canada, Australia and Burma. We are B2Btraders, highly specialized in sugar, corn and dal. We maintain stocks and distribute them to different institutional parties like manufacturers, exporters, etc. We provide them in bulk quantities. We follow standard packing process to ensure that quality and authentic taste of commodities remains intact.
Our Company has developed business strategy to switch over exports/imports from one commodity to another with change in demandor inconsistency in pricing for any commodity during any season. This policy adopted by the management ensures that theCompany does not pass through a lean period during the year.
We are a Two Star Export House recognized by Directorate General of Foreign Trade. We also received a certificate of registration as an Exporter from the Spices Board of India. We are registered with APEDA and Federation of Indian Export Organizations.
With an objective of having overseas presence, our Company acquired 100% shareholding ofU.E.L. International FZE,incorporated under the laws of United Arab Emirates and having its registered office at FDRK0757 Compass Building, Al Shohada Road, AL Hamra Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. U.E.L. International FZE is engaged in business of trading in sugar, spices &textile.
100% subsidiary was formed in Australia in 10th Day of January’2023. Name of Our Australian Subsidiary is Graincomm Australia Pty Ltd having registered office at Level 32, 367 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000, Australia. They are engaged in trading of pulses etc.
Our Company is promoted by Mr. Rakhesh Khemka. He is the guiding force behind the growth of the Company and possesses more than two decades of experience in the trading & retailing. With his dedication and commitment along with support of our key management personnel and dedicated employee base, our Company has shown a positive trend in our business operations.
